Athora appoints interim CFO
Pembroke, Bermuda, 2 December 2024 - Athora Holding Ltd. (Athora or the Group), a leading European savings and retirement services group, today announces that Rakesh Thakrar has been appointed interim Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. Rakesh will also join the Athora Group Management Committee, subject to regulatory approval.
Rakesh brings more than 25 years’ insurance experience, having most recently served as CFO of Phoenix Group - a FTSE100, long-term savings and retirement services company. Rakesh succeeds Anders Malmström who will leave Athora in early 2025 to assume an external executive role in Switzerland. Rakesh and Anders will work closely to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
